About the job
At Suspicious Antwerp we want to offer innovative products that meet the needs and wants of our customers. To help us continue to grow our offerings, we’re in search of a fashion designer to lead our multi-disciplinary design & development team. As an ideal candidate, you will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them. But most importantly, you’re able to spot and predict trends, and are able to channel those insights into a great product portfolio for the brand - in cooperation with our graphic designer and production manager.
Job requirements
General responsibilities
Creation and execution of innovative designs following the brand, category and product strategies.
Take ownership of the whole design process, from ideation till final production approval.
Elaborate and present concepts, sketches and final designs in a compelling, clear, transparent and effective way to the leadership. team as well as our product counterparts and external stakeholders where applicable.
Integrate product, functional and technical developments into design tasks in order to improve business processes.
Collect market intelligence, providing all accurate and up-to-date information on design trends and developments.
Keep track and support the team to deliver projects in line with Suspicious Antwerp’s development calendar.
Align, mentor and follow up projects and work streams with freelance partners when applicable.
Profile
Bachelor/Master's degree in Fashion/Design and/or relevant field of study.
3-5 years work experience in fashion design, preferably with experience in lifestyle/streetwear/sports.
Professional working experience with Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop (Adobe Suite).
Curious about AI as a design tool and its functionality in the creative work-scape.
Great attention to detail and extraordinary time-management skills.
Strategic and creative thinking, strong initiative, passionate about cool products.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Fluent in English. Other languages are a plus but not mandatory.
You are based in Belgium or willing to relocate.
